IMG Pitcher Turner Jamieson Verbally Commits to Merrimack Baseball


Merrimack baseball has received a verbal commitment from pitcher Turner Jamieson, who will be a senior next season at the IMG Academy in Florida. National Scouting Report first reported Jamieson’s commitment yesterday (see below).

Jamieson, a Georgia native, appeared in 19 games this past season as a junior, posting an ERA of 3.50 and a 1-0 record, striking out nine batters over 12 innings.

IMG Academy is a boarding school in Florida that also specializes in athletic training. Some of its baseball alumni include current Boston Red Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi and former Miami Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez. IMG also has several alumni playing in the NBA, NFL, pro tennis and pro soccer.
