Former Merrimack pitcher Ryan O’Rourke is recovering from Tommy John surgery that kept him out all of 2017 and thus far in 2018.
According to the Associated Press, O’Rourke threw a 35-pitch bullpen session earlier this week. It’s not known when O’Rourke could return to regular activity.
“He’s doing well. Don’t forget about him,” Orioles manager Buck Showalter said.
O’Rourke signed with the Orioles this past offseason. His surgery actually took place last season, when he was under contract with the Minnesota Twins.
