Shawn Loiseau signs with expansion Massachusetts Pirates


Former Merrimack linebacker Shawn Loiseau will sign with the Massachusetts Pirates, an expansion team in the National Arena League that will begin its inaugural season this April at the DCU Center in Worcester.

Loiseau had two stints with the Indianapolis Colts after graduating from Merrimack in 2012 and he signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent immediately following the 2012 NFL Draft. Loiseau also has arena experience, playing for the Los Angeles KISS, Sioux Falls Storm and Nebraska Danger.

Joining Loiseau will be former Assumption linebacker Nick Haag, who also had stints in the NFL with the Colts and New York Giants.

Loiseau also owns Undisputed Nutrition in Shrewsbury, Mass.
