The Merrimack football team received a commitment from 2019 wide receiver Maurice Nelson.

Nelson, who is also a strong safety, plays at Mount St. Joseph High School in Baltimore, Maryland. Measuring 6-foot-2 and weighing 195 pounds, he the latest recruit for the Warriors in what has become a strong pipeline in the DMV area.

According to MaxPreps, Nelson had 47 catches in 12 games this season, totaling 755 yards and 10 touchdowns. Last season as a junior, Nelson had 36 catches in 10 games for 413 yards and five touchdowns. His accumulated varsity totals are 85 catches for 1,180 yards and 15 touchdowns in 25 games.
