UMass Lowell Hires Juliano Pagliero As Assistant Coach

UMass Lowell head coach Norm Bazin has added Juliano Pagliero to his coaching staff as an assistant coach, sources tell College Hockey News. Pagliero was serving as an assistant coach at Colgate under Don Vaughn, where he coached goalies and was also the program’s recruiting coordinator.

Pagliero is replacing Cam Ellsworth, who last month accepted the job as head coach at Norwich University (D-III) in Vermont.

Prior to joining the staff at Colgate, Pagliero was an assistant at Holy Cross under Paul Pearl. According to sources, Pagliero was a finalist for the job alongside Bentley assistant coach Ben Murphy. Union assistant coach Jason Tapp was a candidate but he ultimately pulled himself out of the process, according to sources.
