Vermont’s Brian Bowen leaves the team for ECHL contract in Worcester


Vermont junior forward Brian Bowen has left the team and signed a professional contract with the Worcester Railers of the ECHL.

Bowen was second on the team in scoring last season for the Catamounts, registering 27 points (12 goals, 15 assists) in 33 games; his 12 goals were tied for the team lead with Ross Colton and Mario Puskarich. This season, Bowen had only appeared in 10 games and had five points (1 goal, 4 assists).

Vermont is in the midst of a tough season, currently sitting last in Hockey East with a 1-7-2 record in the league and a 4-13-3 record overall.
