Merrimack is offering a fan bus for those interested in attending the men’s basketball game at UConn next Monday …

The Merrimack College Athletic Department along with the Office of Student Involvement announced that student tickets as well as a fan bus will be available for anyone interested in attending the men’s basketball program’s upcoming exhibition against UConn on Monday, Oct. 30, at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn.

Tickets went on sale Tuesday morning and can be purchased at the Athletics Box Office located in Lawler Rink. Tickets can also be purchased on Main Street from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and will be available at both locations through Friday. Any interested student will also be able to sign up for the fan bus at both locations. Tickets will be cash only, at a cost of $10.

Student tickets will be available until they sell out, while seating on the bus will be available until maximum capacity is reached. Anyone interested in attending next Monday’s game is encouraged to sign up as soon as possible beginning on Tuesday.

Pizza and water will be provided for anyone taking the fan bus, which leaves campus at 4 p.m. for the 7 p.m. tip-off in Hartford. The bus will depart the XL Center approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the game.

The Warriors face a Division I opponent in an official exhibition for the second consecutive year after holding a second-half lead against Fairleigh Dickinson last season. The Warriors return all five starters from last year’s team that reached the program’s ninth NCAA Tournament, and were picked 14th in the national top-25 preseason poll conducted by the Division II Bulletin.

UConn was selected to finish fifth in the American Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll, and is led by 2018 Bob Cousy Award Watch List selectee Jalen Adams.
