Merrimack College men’s lacrosse received a commitment Riley Reed, from one of the top 2019 defensemen in New England playing for Falmouth High School in Falmouth, Maine.

Reed is a teammate of Brendan Hickey, another Falmouth defenseman who signed his NLI with the Warriors during the early signing period this past fall.

This past season, Reed was named All-State by the Portland Press Herald as a sophomore.

“A ball-seeking specialist with the speed to stick with top players and move the ball in transition,” the paper wrote of his abilities. “(Reed) forced 64 turnovers, and had 79 ground balls with a goal and two assists.”
