Alex Jefferies Selected by Dubuque in USHL Draft

Merrimack men’s hockey recruit Alex Jefferies has been selected in the eighth round of the USHL Phase II Draft by the Dubuque Fighting Saints. Jefferies joins fellow Merrimack recruit Declan Carlile, who was selected by the Lincoln Stars in the second round of the Phase II Draft earlier in the day.

Jefferies, a Lunenburg, Mass. native, played this past season for the Islanders HC U16 team, scoring 37 goals and adding 22 assists for 59 points in just 28 games.

The ’01-born forward is also being recruited by several New England Prep schools for next season.
