— Merrimack recruit Sami Tavernier had an assist in Game 1 of the NAHL South Finals for the Topeka Roadrunners. The Roadrunners lost to Wichita Falls in Game 1 and scored a goal as Topeka attempted a comeback in Game 2 but fell just short in a 5-4 loss.
— The Charlotte Checkers website reviewed its goaltenders from this past season, including Merrimack alum Rasmus Tirronen. Tirronen is a restricted free agent this summer, meaning that the Carolina Hurricanes retain his rights if they extend him a qualifying offer. His 2015-16 contract was for $645,000 at the NHL level and $65,000 if in the minor leagues.
— Former Merrimack SID Aaron Todd has accepted a position at St. Lawrence as associate athletic director. Todd is an SLU alum. Merrimack travels to SLU early next season as part of a trip that also includes a game at Clarkson.
— Connor Toomey has helped lead the Peoria Rivermen to the SPHL Finals where they were stunned, 3-2 in overtime, in Game 1 against Pensacola.
