Seney Signs Entry-Level Contract with New Jersey Devils

Merrimack College senior Brett Seney has signed a two-year entry-level contract with the New Jersey Devils.

Devils general manager Ray Shero announced Friday that the contract will begin with the 2018-19 season. However, Seney will sign an ATO with the Binghamton Devils (AHL) on Saturday and report to the team.

Seney finished his Merrimack career last weekend with 42 goals and 73 assists in 139 games. He had 32 points (13 goals, 19 assists) this past season and led Merrimack in scoring in each of his four seasons.

Seney becomes the third Merrimack player to sign an NHL contract in the last calendar year, following Hampus Gustafsson (2017, Washington Capitals) and Collin Delia (2017, Chicago Blackhawks).
