The Merrimack men’s hockey program continues to see commitments roll in. On Thursday, the Warriors received a verbal commitment from ’01-born forward Casey Severo.

Severo is a New York native who played last season with Noble & Greenough School, appearing in 28 goals and totaling 29 points (14 goals, 15 assists). According to one independent scout, he’s “one of the top uncommitted players in prep hockey.”

Severo has also taken part in USA Hockey’s Select camps the last two seasons, appearing in the Select 16 camp last season and the Select 17 camp this summer.

Neutral Zone has Severo listed as a 3.75 star recruit (out of 5), noting his high hockey IQ and work ethic.

“Has a high IQ and plays all 200 feet,” they wrote. “Best part of his game is there is no best part of his game. He does a lot very well. Versatile and reliable in all situations. B in Select 17s report, B+ in Battle of Boston and A in Prep Report two.”
