Christian Simeone Commits to Merrimack For This Fall

Merrimack received a verbal commitment on Friday from ’97-born forward Christian Simeone, who played this past season for the Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the British Columbia Hockey League.

Simeone is a local product, though. Before traveling to the BCHL, the Milton, Mass. native played two years at Thayer Academy and also was a linemate of Merrimack rising junior Patrick Kramer in 2015. Simeone also has stops with the South Shore Kings (USPHL) in 2015-16 and the Springfield Jr. Blues (NAHL) in 2016-17.

This past season, the 6-foot-1 forward had 23 points (12 goals 11 assists) in 58 games.

Simeone becomes the fourth player to commit to Merrimack since Scott Borek was hired in April, joining August Von UngernEvan McIntyre and Liam Walsh.
