Declan Carlile commits to Merrimack College

Merrimack has received a commitment from ’00-born defenseman Declan Carlile.

A Michigan native, Carlile is currently a rookie in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL), where he ranks 10th in scoring among all defensemen; in 45 games this season, Carlile has 31 points (6 goals, 25 assists) for the Wellington Dukes, where he is a teammate of fellow Merrimack recruit Zach Uens.

Carlile has a tremendous pedigree, earning invites to USA Hockey’s Select 16 and Select 17 Festivals the last two seasons. Carlile played bantam hockey for Little Caesars and Compuware — two top programs in the midwest — and for the last two seasons he played at Culver Military Academy.
