Former Merrimack Recruit Michael Kesselring Commits to Northeastern

Michael Kesselring, a former Merrimack men’s hockey recruit who was selected in the sixth round of the NHL Draft by the Edmonton Oilers in June, announced on Sunday that he has committed to play college hockey at Northeastern.

Kesselring asked to be released from his NLI with Merrimack and he was released just prior to the NHL Draft. Initially, Merrimack had offered Kesselring the chance to come in this upcoming season, but he’ll return to the USHL to play for the Des Moines Buccaneers in 2018-19.
