Five Things To Know

  • Merrimack picked up its first win of the 2018-19 season with a shutout victory last Friday at Bentley. That was part of a two-game weekend split against a pair of Atlantic Hockey foes, as the Warriors dropped a 3-2 game at Army West Point the next night.
  • Every game Merrimack has played so far has been decided by one goal. They are the only team in the country who has played four or more games with all being decided by one goal or fewer, and one of four teams total who have played solely one-goal games.
  • Junior Tyler Irvine holds the team lead in scoring with four points on the year (2g, 2a). He has at least one point in three of the four games he has played in this year.
  • In net, the Warriors have seen seniors Craig Pantano and Drew Vogler combine for the bulk of playing time. Pantano had a shutout against Bentley on Friday and owns a .934 save percentage and 1.74 goals against average on the year. Vogler blanked Army in the second and third periods after coming on in relief last weekend.
  • Merrimack is 3-2-1 in its last five home games against Boston University and 11 of its 19 all-time wins against the Terriers have come at Lawler Rink.
