Heywood Signs with Dresdner Eislowen in Germany

Former Merrimack defenseman and captain, Jordan Heywood, signed with Dresdner Eislowen in the DEL2 (Germany). Heywood will enter his third year in the German league this upcoming season after spending the last two years with the Heilbronner Falken.

In two seasons with the Falken, Heywood appeared in 102 games and has scored 63 points (21 goals, 42 assists) from the blue line.

Heywood, 29, graduated from Merrimack in 2014.

“After two great years in Heilbronn, I’m looking forward to the new challenge in Dresden,” he said in a statement. “I want to keep evolving, tackling new tasks and goals. I’ve heard only good things about the club and the city.”
