IIHF Worlds: Da Costa Scores Twice More For France in Shootout

Stephane Da Costa scored two more shootout goals for France at the IIHF World Championships, helping his nation to a win over Belarus in preliminary round action on Thursday. Earlier this week, Da Costa scored a shootout winner against Switzerland.

Appearing in four games, the former Merrimack center has eight points (5 goals, 3 assists).

The breakout performance couldn’t come at a better time for Da Costa, whose rights with the Ottawa Senators expire this summer and he’ll become an unrestricted free agent in the NHL.
