Jace Hennig Signs with EC Kassel Huskies in Germany

Merrimack senior Jace Hennig has signed a professional contract with the EC Kassel Huskies in DEL2 (Germany) for next season.

Hennig was one of Merrimack’s top scorers as a senior this past season, scoring 11 goals and adding 14 assists for 25 points in 37 games. Hennig appeared in 148 games for the Warriors over his four-year career, finishing with 79 points (38 goals, 41 assists).

“Jace Hennig scores magnificent goals and shines with a strong will to win,” said Huskies coach Rico Rossi.

According to the Huskies website, Hennig has a German passport because one of his grandfathers was born and raised in Germany.

“It would be great if I could help the huskies with my speed and my offensive drive,” Hennig said.

Hennig becomes the fifth member of the 2018 class to sign a professional contract, following classmates Brett Seney (New Jersey Devils), Jared Kolquist (Manchester Monarchs), Aaron Titcomb (Adirondack Thunder) and Alfred Larsson (Adirondack Thunder).
