Bigos, who was an assistant captain his senior year, has the second-most penalty minutes in Hockey East history (457), behind only former Maine forward Joey Diamond (467), whose college career coincided with Bigos’ at Merrimack.

Bigos was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft (fourth round, 94th overall).
