Postgame: Lake Superior State 1, Merrimack 0

NORTH ANDOVER — Lake Superior State topped Merrimack, 1-0, in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon at Lawler Arena. With the victory, Lake Superior State swept the weekend series and improved to 2-0-0 on the season. Merrimack fell to 0-2-0.

The Warriors will play next on Friday when they travel to Bentley.

Scoring Summary

Goal #1 (LSSU, 0-1): Max Humitz’s second goal of the weekend broke a scoreless deadlock 37 seconds into the second period. Brayden Gelsinger entered the zone from the right side off a pass from Humitz and skated the puck underneath the dots. He then found Humitz with a backhand pass to the slot, and the latter went hard to the crease and punched the puck in on his second attempt after initially being denied.
