Recruit Report: Carlile, Uens win OJHL; Von Ungern, Olsen Set to Face in Doyle Cup

One of the things that new Merrimack head coach Scott Borek said he wanted to target, in terms of recruiting, was going after players who win championships. Merrimack’s Canadian recruits are on a collision course in the Jr. A tournament this season. This past weekend, Zach Uens and Declan Carlile won the OJHL Championship with the Wellington Dukes. Chase Olsen won the AJHL Championship with the Spruce Grove Saints and new recruit August Von Ungern-Sternberg won the BCHL Championship with the Wenatchee Wild. Olsen and Von Ungern-Sternberg will face off in the next round — the Doyle Cup — as the teams try to advance to the RBC Cup.

*Note: Projected arrivals are from TMR staff, and not official from Merrimack College.
