Recruits: Michael Kesselring Will Make USHL Debut Saturday Night

Merrimack recruit Michael Kesselring will make his USHL debut for the Des Moines Buccaneers on Saturday night.

Kesselring, who currently projected as a third-round pick in this summer’s NHL Draft, finished his season with New Hampton Prep last weekend. In 32 games, the 6-foot-4 defenseman had 10 goals and 22 assists (32 points).

Kesselring, 18, was drafted in the 11th round by the Buccaneers in last summer’s USHL Entry Draft; he’s currently ranked No. 55 by NHL Central Scouting for this upcoming NHL Draft.

Des Moines is on the road against the Youngstown Phantoms tonight, meaning Kesselring, who will wear No. 2 for the Buccaneers, will go up against fellow Merrimack recruits Chase Gresock and Liam Dennison.
