Rhett Bly Signs With New ECHL Franchise in Indianapolis

Rhett Bly, who graduated from Merrimack last month with a degree in business administration, has signed an ECHL contract with the Indy Fuel

Recent Merrimack College graduate Rhett Bly has signed a 2014-15 contract with the Indianapolis Fuel, a new franchise in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) set to debut this upcoming season.

Bly finished his Merrimack career appearing in 143 games and totaling 43 points (16 goals, 27 assists).

“Rhett is a talented scorer and a relentless competitor – you can’t keep him off the ice,” said Scott Hillman, the Fuel’s head coach and vice-president of hockey operations. “We’re off to a great start putting together a hard-working, competitive team that will keep fans on the edge of their seats.”
