Karl Stollery has come to terms on a contract with Jokerit in the KHL, the team announced on Friday.
Stollery, a 2012 Merrimack grad, debuted in the KHL last season with Dinamo Riga, scoring 14 points (3 goals, 11 assists) in 55 games. Stollery also suited up for Team Canada at the Olympics, winning a bronze medal.
Jokerit is based in Helsinki, Finland.
“Stollery is a very mobile defender who knows KHL last season and also played in the Olympics,” said Jokerit general manager Jari Kuri. “He will certainly be able to help our team.”
Stollery has NHL experience with the Colorado Avalanche, San Jose Sharks and New Jersey Devils.
