Six-time national champion and former Merrimack College women’s track & field standout Carly Muscaro officially signed an endorsement deal yesterday with Saucony, a running shoe and apparel company.

In signing the contract, Muscaro extended her professional career at the highest level of the track and field world and will represent the company by racing as a member of Team Saucony. It is a fitting moment for the former Warrior, who had an outstanding career at Merrimack on the track.

She concluded her career being named the Honda Division II Athlete of the Year in 2017, was a 12-time United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-American, a two-time College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSida) Academic All-America First Team recipient, and a three-time Northeast-10 Conference Track Athlete of the Year. She was a five-time USTFCCCA East Region Women’s Track Athlete of the Year and won six NE10 Conference titles.

Assistant Merrimack track & field coach Pete Early, who still coaches Muscaro, was very proud of her accomplishment.

“We (as a coaching staff) are extremely proud of Carly and this huge accomplishment,” said Early. “She has taken herself to the highest level of the track and field world and this contract is the culmination of years of hard work. There is no one more deserving and we as a staff could not be happier.”
