Rob Rassey has left Harvard for a job with the Detroit Red Wings, opening a spot on the Harvard coaching staff for the second straight summer.

Ted Donato was faced with a similar situation last summer, when he had to add Jim Tortorella late in the offseason following the departure of Paul Pearl to Boston University.

Tortorella was with Merrimack at the time as director of hockey operations.
