NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College field hockey team plays its first Northeast Conference (NEC) game in program history on Friday, playing Bryant University. The game will be played at Boston University’s New Balance Field and begin at 7 p.m.

Five Things to Know:

  • The Warriors are coming off of their first DI victory, besting Maine, 2-1 on Saturday. Senior goalkeeper Katharina Ohmen was the star, making 14 saves to secure the team’s historic victory
  • Senior Alex Mondini netted the game winning goal against Maine off of an assist from classmate Miranda Judd
  • Senior Goalkeeper Katharina Ohmen leads the conference in saves per game, totaling an astounding 11.12. She was named Merrimack’s Athlete of the Week for her efforts last week
  • This will be the first-ever Division I matchup between Merrimack and Bryant, resuming their DII battles as NE10 opponents
  • Bryant earned their first victory of the season last game against Lehigh
