The Delaware State Hornets (MEAC) have added Merrimack to their 2019 football schedule, which was released this week.
Delaware State went 3-8 last year – its highest win total since 2013. The Hornets, who were 2-5 in the MEAC, can return up to 17 starters, including first-team all-conference linebacker Brian Cavicante. DSU head coach Rod Milstead will be entering his second season in charge of the program.
The Warriors’ football schedule is now up to nine games, according to releases by upcoming opponents. The current slate includes six road games and three home games.
Merrimack’s current home dates include Bryant (NEC), Presbyterian (Big South) and Franklin Pierce (NE10). The Warriors will be playing their first season as a member of Division I FCS this fall.
