Merrimack head football coach Dan Curran has offered Catholic quarterback Colt Minson, the player announced on social media. Minson will be a 2021 grad and has been the starter at Catholic — a Virginia high school — since his sophomore year.
Minson has been garnering attention on social media after posting several videos where he’s putting himself through football workouts during the COVID-19 shutdown.
Along with the Warriors, Monmouth has recently offered Minson; he also has offers from Samford, VMI, William & Mary, Southern Mississippi and Wake Forest (preferred walk-on).
“(My) recruiting is definitely heating up,” Minson told recruit757. “It was actually very cool to get offered over the phone. Both schools facetimed me with their coaching staff and were very energetic and excited. (It) kind of felt like I was getting drafted.”
Last fall Minson completed 175 of 240 passes (73% completion) for 2,524 yards and 19 touchdowns to go with three rushing touchdowns.
