Updates to Merrimack’s 2020 Football Schedule

The Merrimack College football schedule had some changes made this week, stemming from the announcement by the Patriot League that it was suspending fall sports due to COVID-19.

Because of the Patriot League’s cancellation, the Warriors formally canceled their scheduled home opener against Holy Cross, which was going to take place on Sept. 3. Moreover, the Warriors were scheduled to play at Presbyterian on Nov. 14, but word is that game will not be happening. Merrimack’s game against Robert Morris was also canceled, but that was due to the Colonials leaving the Northeast Conference.

Merrimack did add a game against Bryant, which is now scheduled for November 7 in Smithfield, R.I. Merrimack’s home game against Central Connecticut that was scheduled for Sept. 12 is being moved to Oct. 31 at Duante Stadium.

Merrimack’s 2020 football schedule now looks like this (6 road games, 3 home games):

9/19 – @ Wagner
9/26 – @ Saint Francis (Pa.)
10/3 – @ New Hampshire
10/10 – vs. Long Island
10/17 – @ Sacred Heart
