Boston College goaltender Joe Woll has signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs, the team announced on Sunday.

Woll, a third-round pick of the Maple Leafs (62nd overall) in 2016, leaves his final season of eligibility to begin his professional career.

In 37 games with BC this season, Woll finished with 2.51 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage.

BC’s season ended on Sunday night with a 3-2 loss to Northeastern in the Hockey East championship game.

Junior Ryan Edquist is the most experienced goaltender left on the BC roster. However, Spencer Knight, a top prospect for the 2019 NHL Draft, will arrive at Boston College this fall. He is expected to be the Eagles starting goaltender next season.2
