Top Recruit Sonny Milano Skips BC, Signs With Plymouth

Sonny Milano will never make it to Boston College.

The incoming freshman, who affirmed his commitment to BC just two weeks ago at the National Junior Evaluation Camp, signed with the Plymouth Whalers (OHL) on Saturday, according to a source close to Milano.

The Columbus Blue Jackets drafted him No. 16 overall in this past June’s NHL Entry Draft, and it’s likely he’ll agree to an entry-level contract with the NHL club soon, according to the same source. The signing with Plymouth will negate Milano’s NCAA eligibility.
