WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Tickets for the 2016 Women’s Hockey East Championship weekend, hosted by Merrimack College, will be available for purchase at the Merrimack College Box Office beginning Friday, November 13.

Fans may purchase online at, in person, or by calling the Box Office at 978-837-5324. Please note Box Office hours are Monday through Friday10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Semifinals games will take place on Lawler Rink Saturday, March 5 at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The two winners will advance to the 14th annual Women’s Hockey East Championship Game to battle for the Bertagna Trophy Sunday, March 6 at 1:30 p.m.

Women’s Hockey East Tournament semifinal games tickets start at just $5 per session for youths and groups of 10 or more, while adult admission is set at $10. Single-admission tickets are good for both of Saturday’ssemifinal contests. Please note – NO two-game packages (semifinal/final) are available.

Students from any Hockey East school will receive free admission with a valid student ID.

Hockey East recommends that fans purchase tickets in advance to avoid missing one of college hockey’s most prestigious postseason tournaments. The winner of the Women’s Hockey East Championship Tournament will earn an automatic berth into the women’s ice hockey championship tournament and have a chance to reach the 2016 NCAA Frozen Four held at the University of New Hampshire’s Whittemore Center.

Before taking to the ice in North Andover, the four Championship Weekend participants will navigate through the league’s quarterfinal round during the previous weekend (Feb. 26-28). The top-eight teams in the league standings at the conclusion of the regular season will qualify for the 2016 Women’s Hockey East Tournament, and seeds No. 1-4 will host seeds No. 5-8 in a best-of-three quarterfinal series.

The four quarterfinal winners will then be reseeded for the semifinal round on Saturday, March 5. The semifinal winners advance to the 14th annual Hockey East Championship Game on Sunday, March 6.
