Merrimack Basketball Coach Joe Gallo Announces Return of “In The Zone” Camps

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Head coach Joe Gallo of the Merrimack College men’s basketball program announced on Wednesday that his second annual “In The Zone” Basketball Academy will return to Hammel Court this summer.

The “In the Zone” Basketball Academy includes four separate camps spanning the months of June, July and August, hosted at Hammel Court. The academy kicks off with the “In the Zone” High School Boot Camp from June 27-29. The one-day Warrior Experience Prospect Camp I follows on Saturday, June 30. Both the High School Boot Camp and Prospect Camp I are limited to high school boys, grades 9-12.

The “In the Zone Day” Camp kicks off on Monday, July 30, and ends on Thursday, August 2. Each day begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. All youth players (boys and girls) ages 7-16 are invited to attend the camp. The academy will then conclude with the second Warrior Experience Prospect Camp on Friday, August 3, lasting from 9:00-3:00.

Gallo, assistant coaches Micky Burtnyk and David Richards, as well as current and former Merrimack players comprise the camp staff. The Joe Gallo “In The Zone” Basketball Academy at Merrimack College is dedicated to providing a high-level basketball experience for all participants. The camps will be both instructional and enjoyable.
