Merrimack Signs Gallo to Long-Term Extension

Merrimack College has locked up men’s basketball coach Joe Gallo with a contract extension. CBS Sports Jon Rothstein was the first to report the extension, and The Mack Report has confirmed.

Gallo reportedly signed a long-term extension, but details were not immediately available.

Gallo led the Warriors to an NEC regular-season championship last season as a first-year Division I program. A 2004 Merrimack grad, he has a 61-34 overall record as head coach and the Warriors went 20-11 last season and 14-4 in the NEC.

Merrimack is set to open the 2020-21 season on Nov. 25 at home against Hartford (America East).
