NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College Athletics Department saw an impressive group of student-athletes honored on Monday when the Northeast Conference (NEC) announced its 2019-20 Winter Academic and Commissioner’s Honor Rolls.

Both the NEC’s Academic and Commissioner’s Honor Roll recognizes eligible student-athletes representing the sports of men’s basketball and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s indoor track & field, women’s swimming and women’s bowling. The Academic Honor Roll includes any student-athletes with a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher while the Commissioner’s Honor Roll recognizes those who boast a GPA of at least 3.75.

Merrimack had 88 student-athletes named to the Academic Honor Roll while 27 more landed on the Commissioner’s Honor Roll. Thirty-four of Merrimack’s 88 representatives on the Academic Honor were from the women’s indoor track & field squad to lead the Warriors’ selections.

As a conference, the NEC had a record 265 student-athletes named to the Winter Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
