The Merrimack men’s lacrosse program received a commitment from one of the top 2019 players in Massachusetts, Jack Barron, who is currently in his junior season at Longmeadow High School.

Barron is one of the top athletes in Western Mass., and was also one of the top hockey players in Western Mass this past season (he was named Mass Live’s Hockey Athlete of the Year); he has 130 points in his first three seasons as a varsity hockey player, including 27 goals and 30 assists this past season.

Last week, Barron scored five goals to lead No. 1 Longmeadow past No. 2 Westfield, 16-9. BostonLax.net had Barron listed as one of the top midfielders in the state.
