The Merrimack men’s lacrosse team have picked up another player out of the transfer portal, after Bentley midfielder Matt Brooks committed to the team for his graduate season this week. The news comes on the heels of Furhman midfielder/attacker Jack Rooney announcing his transfer to the Warriors earlier this week.
Brooks was arguably the top midfielder in the NE10. This past season, he appeared in three games before the season was cut short due to COVID-19 and he had 10 points (3 goals, 7 assists).
In 42 games at Bentley over the last four seasons, Brooks scored 53 goals and added 28 assists for 81 points.
In 2019 as a junior, Brooks was named third-team NE10 All-Conference also was named NEILA first-team All-New England.
Brooks was an NE10 All-Rookie selection in 2017. Prior to Bentley he helped Brunswick High School win the 2015 Maine state championship and he also did a grad year at Phillips Exeter.
