Georgia defenseman/LSM Ethan Landry announced this week that he had committed to the Merrimack men’s lacrosse team, becoming the second 2022 recruit for the program.
Landry plays for one of the top club teams in the nation, and he’s one of their top defensemen. This is considered a huge commitment for the program.
“For me, it was everything about Merrimack,” Landry told Lacrosse Bucket. “The campus is great and the academics are exactly what I need…Also, they have built a winning culture within the team and Coach Morgan really knows how to win games.”
Landry said that he was contacted by Morgan on Sept. 1, the first day that coaches were allowed to speak to players in his class. There’s currently a recruiting dead period, so he couldn’t make an official visit, but he took a virtual tour of the campus and came up to Merrimack on his own for an admissions visit.
