After finishing with a career-high seven points in Saturday’s win at Southern New Hampshire, junior attack Max Allen (West Caldwell, N.J.) of the third-ranked Merrimack College men’s lacrosse team has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week for the first time this season and second time in his career, the league announced Monday.

Allen tied his career-high in scoring after producing a seven-point outing for the second game in a row, finishing with six goals and an assist in the Warriors’ 19-12 win over Southern New Hampshire on Saturday. The junior scored four of six goals before the intermission in the win. He also had seven points a week prior against AIC.

The lethal left-shot attack upped his season total to 16 points on a team-best 11 goals and five assists. On a national scale, the West Caldwell, New Jersey, native ranks seventh in points per game (5.33) and 10th in goals per game (3.67).

Allen and the rest of the Warriors return to action tomorrow (March 8) night against Saint Michael’s College. First whistle from Martone-Mejail Field is set for 6 p.m.
