’99-Born Forward Christian Brune Commits to Merrimack

The Merrimack men’s hockey program received a commitment from ’99-born forward Christian Brune on Friday. Brune, 18, has played for Shattuck St. Mary’s (Minnesota) the last four seasons, splitting time between their midget and prep teams.

Brune is a 6-foot-1 center from New Jersey.

This past season he appeared in 55 games for Shattuck St. Mary’s, posting eight goals and 15 assists for 23 points. One scouting report from Neutral Zone said that Brune is a hard worker away from the puck, finishing checks and has good speed for a player who plays more of a power game.

According to HockeyTech, Brune is projected as a 2019 arrival.
