Adam Arvedson commits to Merrimack

Swedish defenseman Adam Arvedson announced today that he has committed to Merrimack. Arvedson becomes the second Swedish defenseman to commit to the Warriors in the last week after Ivan Zivlak committed last week.

Arvedson’s father is Magnus Arvedson, who played seven years in the NHL with the Ottawa Senators and Vancouver Canucks and also played for Sweden in the 2002 Olympics.

Arvedson has appeared in 17 games for Färjestad BK J20 this season and he has six goals and nine assists from the blue line. The 6-footer, who is 19 years old, also has appeared in 10 games for Forshaga IF where he has six assists.

Last season Arvedson appeared in 41 games for Färjestad BK J20 and had three goals and 14 assists.
