BU’s Chad Krys likely out against Merrimack this weekend

Boston University defenseman Chad Krys is likely out for Saturday’s game at Merrimack, BU head coach Albie O’Connell told The Daily Free Press.

Krys did not make the trip with BU last weekend to Minnesota State due to a lower-body injury. O’Connell told the paper that Krys’ injury is “not serious” and he should be back “soon.”

Krys was a second-round pick of the Chicago Blackhawks in 2016. Last season, the Connecticut native scored 27 points (7 goals, 20 assists) in 36 games from the blue line. Krys is one of five drafted defensemen on the BU roster, all of whom were selected in the top three rounds.
