Carle named 2019 TMR Unsung Hero winner


Merrimack senior defenseman Alex Carle has been named the 2019 TMR Unsung Hero Award winner after receiving 78.8 percent of the vote. The TMR awards are annual Merrimack men’s hockey awards that are voted on by readers of The Mack Report.

Carle appeared in all 34 games for the Warriors this season, setting a career high. The Anchorage, Alaska native finished with nine points (2 goals, 7 assists).

In 116 career games with the Warriors, Carle scored six goals and added 27 assists. Carle also set a career high in shots on goal (66) this season. Carle scored two goals towards the end of the season, netting one against Maine on Feb. 16 and then another at home against UMass Lowell on Feb. 23.
