Casey Severo De-Commits From Merrimack

Nobles forward Casey Severo de-committed from the Merrimack men’s hockey team, according to a report from The New England Hockey Journal.

Severo is a 3.75-star recruit from Pittsford, N.Y. Last season he scored 39 points (15 goals, 24 assists) in 29 games for Noble and Greenough School and will return there this upcoming winter. This fall Severo is skating for the Boston Jr. Eagles EHF U18 team and tried out for the Tri-City Storm (USHL).

When reached for comment, Merrimack head coach Scott Borek said, “I cannot comment on specific potential student-athletes’ decisions, but it is always unfortunate and disappointing for all parties.”

Severo, who committed to Merrimack last season, was projected as a 2020 addition to the roster.
