Da Costa signs one-year deal with Lokomotiv


Stephane Da Costa has inked a one-year deal with Lokomotiv (KHL) for the 2019-20 season, the club announced on Wednesday.

Next season will mark Da Costa’s fifth in the KHL, having played three seasons for CSKA Moscow and then this past season for Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg, where he scored 22 goals and added 26 assists (48 points) in 58 games.

Over the course of his KHL career, Da Costa has 144 points (68 goals, 76 assists) in 152 games.

Da Costa, 29, played two seasons at Merrimack (2009-11), finishing with 90 points (30 goals, 60 assists) in 67 games. Da Costa has the best points-per-game (1.34) among Merrimack players who played their entire career in Hockey East.
