Final: Merrimack 4, UMass 3 (OT)

AMHERST — Merrimack comes from behind to earn its 20th win of the season, downing UMass 4-3 in overtime to improve to 20-5-4 on the season.

Chris Barton (PP), Brendan Ellis (PP), Joe Cucci and Carter Madsen (GW) scored goals for the Warriors while Joe Cannata made 27 saves in net for his 20th win of the season as well.

The Warriors host UMass Saturday night at Lawler Arena.

There won’t be a Reax post from me tonight. A long ride back home combined with an early wakeup call for me tomorrow means I’ll have to get some shut-eye tonight.

If we don’t talk before then, we’ll see you all tomorrow at Lawler Arena.

Jeez, Merrimack is more tight lipped about injuries than the Patriots.
