Hockey East Reveals 2020-21 Men’s Preseason Poll

LEAGUE RELEASE

WAKEFIELD, Mass. – The Merrimack College men’s hockey team was selected to finish 10th in the Hockey East 2020-21 preseason poll Friday, as announced by the league.

 

The Warriors also finished 10th during the 2019-20 season after they compiled a 7-14-3 mark in conference play, which was good for 17 points. Vermont was selected to finish 11th in the preseason poll after they finished 2-18-4 in the league in 2019-20, which was nine points worse than the Warriors.

 

Elsewhere in the poll, Boston College was tabbed to finish first overall and garnered eight first-place votes. Massachusetts was selected second with one first-place vote, Providence was slated third and UMass Lowell was fourth with a first-place vote as well.

 

Merrimack returns 23 players from last season, including all eight defensemen and all three goaltenders. It also brings back three of its top five scorers in the form of Chase Gresock, Declan Carlile and Logan Drevitch.
