Incoming Merrimack goaltender James Corcoran has been invited to development camp with the Boston Bruins; this will be Corcoran’s second camp invitation after he participated in 2017 as well.

Corcoran missed all of last season with an injury and will arrive at Merrimack this fall as a freshman. The 21-year-old appeared in 21 games for Winchendon School two seasons ago, posting a 2.53 GAA and a .927 save percentage. In 2017 — his senior season at Walpole High School — Corcoran posted a .970 save percentage and a 0.46 GAA.

Corcoran will be one of three freshman goalies on Merrimack’s roster next season, joining Christian Stoever and Jere Huhtamaa.

Boston’s development camp takes place this week (June 26-28) at Warrior Ice Arena in Brighton; all on-ice sessions are free and open to the public.
